I have to say that I thought the north rim of the Grand Canyon was the most spectacular, even more so than the south rim. The other side of the Grand Canyon is only visited by 10% of visitors. What a shame!
The hike across the canyon from South Rim to North Rim is 21 miles (34 km). However, traveling from the South Rim to the North Rim by automobile requires a five-hour drive of 220 miles (354 km). It was so worth the drive!

Our hike was cut short because of a lightening storm. Very dangerous when you’re standing on the edge.
