Giving Thanks

I spent most of Thanksgiving weekend enjoying nature. There is so much to be thankful for. To start, I just have to look around the forest to find so much beauty. I’m thankful for Mother Earth and all that she provides and the happiness she gives me.

B, Banjo and I did some hiking at the farm. It was wonderful to be out and walk the property line.

We also tried to get out in the canoe one morning. Sitting in an aluminum canoe when it’s +5 celsius isn’t very comfortable. It’s cold! But we had a lot of fun and it was so nice to be out on the water.

We spent about 4 hours paddling and portaging along Beaver Creek. There were 2 tiny rapids and 2 class 1 rapids that we had to portage around. On the way back we were able to paddle down the two smaller ones, and portage back around the class 1. I don’t have enough white water paddling experience to even attempt those!

To round the weekend off, a mama deer and two babes wandered into my parents’ back yard yesterday. Happy Thanksgiving!

      Hi Lisa,

Thank you so much for the comment, I really appreciate it! I enjoy blogging, taking pictures, but most of all nature. Nice to have a woman’s perspective.

      Thanks again! 🙂
